Projects

Louisiana Offshore Oil Port | Environmental Monitoring Program
In response to irreversible damage to Louisiana's coastal marshes from decades of legacy pipeline and infrastructure construction, LOOP conducts extensive environmental monitoring to safeguard these sensitive ecosystems. ES2 implements this program for LA DOTD/LOTA, performing beach, vegetation, and land-loss surveys and analyses that generate findings needed to protect, restore, and support long-term environmental stewardship.

City of Gretna | Wastewater Infrastructure Digital Twin
Gretna's wastewater system had an incomplete digital record, limiting the city's ability to prioritize capital investments and manage flood risk. ES2 surveyed manholes and lift stations, captured UAS imagery and LiDAR, and built a complete Digital Twin in ArcGIS Online, giving the city a more complete data foundation for infrastructure decisions and flood resiliency planning.

USACE | Comite River Diversion Construction Surveying
Active flood diversion construction demands precise documentation to keep work on track and in compliance. ES2 delivered construction stakeout, compliance surveying, UAS mapping, and volume calculations across three reaches of the Comite River Diversion, and developed GIS dashboards for real-time project tracking and immediate visibility into construction progress.

City of Denham Springs | Flood Impact Analysis
The 2016 flood devastated Denham Springs and exposed how little the city could visualize or communicate flood risk. ES2 applied Esri Flood Impact Analysis and 3D Building Solutions to existing HEC-RAS models correlated to local stream gauge data, delivering three interactive applications: a 3D Flood Impact Viewer, Impact Dashboard, and public Flood Depth Viewer.

Tunica-Biloxi Tribe | Master Plan and Enterprise GIS
Managing 1,800 acres of tribal trust and fee lands, including floodplain development, drainage, cultural resources, and natural resources, requires a plan grounded in accurate spatial data. ES2 developed a Comprehensive Master Plan, established a Geospatial Strategy for Enterprise GIS, collected UAS imagery and LiDAR, and delivered a GIS-based plan for Tribal Council presentation.

USACE New Orleans | Phase I ESA, Atchafalaya Basin Floodway System
Assessing 30,000 acres of the Atchafalaya Basin Floodway System required field capability and a platform to organize a large, complex dataset. ES2 conducted a Limited Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, collected drone imagery, reviewed historical aerial photography and environmental records, and built a GIS web application to organize, visualize, and evaluate all findings.

EPA / USACE | Brownfields Structural Evaluation
A fire-damaged, abandoned facility in Arkansas presented safety and access challenges that ruled out conventional structural inspection. ES2 captured interior and exterior conditions using handheld LiDAR, 360-degree imagery, and drone-based photogrammetry, delivering documentation that supported ASCE and GSA structural analysis for EPA's Targeted Brownfields Assessment program.

Acadian Ambulance | Enterprise GIS Support
Acadian Ambulance operates one of the largest emergency services networks in the South, where real-time tracking and reliable data are not optional. ES2 enhanced their ArcGIS Enterprise environment, improved Experience Builder applications and dashboards, automated weekly data ingestion, and delivered an Enterprise Hardening Assessment to strengthen security and system resilience.

Waste Management | Landfill Capacity Surveys
Landfills must track remaining capacity, but active waste areas make traditional ground survey slow, hazardous, and prone to error. ES2 deployed UAS photogrammetry and LiDAR across multiple landfills and borrow areas, calculating remaining cell capacity, excavated quantities, and post-storm debris volumes to support capacity planning and recovery.

Louisiana Gateway Port | GIS Digital Twin
Louisiana Gateway Port needed one platform to manage operations, security, real estate, and planning across a complex facility. ES2 implemented a GIS Digital Twin on ArcGIS Enterprise, enhanced the Master Planning application and Common Operating Picture dashboard, and integrated real-time AIS vessel tracking and security camera feeds for domain awareness.

BREC | Urban Forest Assessment
BREC needed more than a tree count. Justifying resilience investments required quantifiable data on the ecological contribution of its urban canopy. ES2 collected tree data using Survey123, UAS imagery, and LiDAR, then applied USDA i-Tree Eco analysis to deliver assessments of tree diversity, stormwater benefits, and ecological value across BREC parks.

Tangipahoa Parish | Enterprise GIS Implementation
Without a unified platform, Tangipahoa Parish departments operated in silos with limited ability to share data across functions. ES2 implemented ArcGIS Enterprise from data model to deployment, rebuilt applications using Experience Builder, developed dashboards for animal control, code enforcement, emergency management, and public works, and established an Open Data Hub for citizen engagement.

Louisiana DOTD | Enterprise GIS Support
Louisiana's transportation network demands GIS capability at scale. LADOTD needed embedded expertise to advance their platform, not just maintain it. ES2 delivered staff augmentation across ArcGIS Enterprise and FME, building interactive dashboards, web mapping applications, and automated data workflows, with full knowledge transfer through training and documentation.

USACE Vicksburg | Infrastructure Survey, Yazoo Backwater Pumping Plant
The Yazoo Backwater Pumping Plant protects a 630,000-acre region where the 2019 flood submerged over 550,000 acres and caused $800 million in agricultural losses. ES2, in joint venture with Chustz Surveying, established survey control, conducted multibeam hydrographic surveys, and delivered topographic and cross-section data to support this critical federal infrastructure project.

Port Pascagoula | Enterprise GIS and Geospatial Strategy
Port Pascagoula lacked an authoritative record of what it owned, leased, and could develop, with no reliable spatial data on utilities across two harbor areas. ES2 built a GIS basemap, developed a three-year geospatial strategy, and created detailed utility layers for sewer, gas, water, communications, and electrical infrastructure at both harbor areas.

USACE New Orleans | Revetment Condition Monitoring
Over 1,000 miles of revetment protect the Mississippi, Atchafalaya, and Red Rivers from the bank erosion that threatens levees and navigation channels. ES2, through a joint venture with Chustz Surveying, conducts annual multibeam and hydrographic surveys across these river systems, delivering the condition data USACE needs to prioritize maintenance before failures occur.
